Greetings BeKarnya and Co Family,
I am overjoyed to share some fantastic news with you, I recently welcomed my very first subscriber on Substack! After nearly two months of dedicated effort, this moment feels like a significant milestone, and I can’t help but smile with gratitude and excitement. The countless hours I’ve spent writing have finally culminated in achieving something truly rewarding: a real connection with someone who values my work enough to subscribe.
Before this milestone, I was receiving views but struggled to convert them into subscriptions. Nevertheless, I didn’t let that discourage me. Instead, it fueled my commitment to continue creating and sharing meaningful content. For me, each subscription represents not just a number, but an individual who finds value in my writing, someone who resonates with the ideas I present and chooses to join me on this journey of growth. It’s a profound honor when someone decides to engage with a stranger's thoughts, especially when they have countless other options for spending their time.
The choice to subscribe signifies trust; it suggests that my words are worthy of someone’s attention, and that what I’m sharing resonates for them enough to return week after week. It reassures me that we are building something authentic and worthwhile together.
When I received that first subscription, I was at a loss for how to celebrate this incredible milestone, and who to celebrate with. It felt so personal, like a victory I wanted to shout from the rooftops. Then it dawned on me that I have a community! I reached out to the Substack Reddit community, filled with fellow writers who are navigating similar paths. I shared my joy, hoping my story might inspire others to persevere despite their challenges.
The response was heartwarming. The outpouring of support and encouragement made me realize I am not alone in this endeavor. Many fellow writers shared their own stories of triumph and tribulation, creating a sense of camaraderie that was profoundly uplifting. I felt understood and supported in ways I hadn’t anticipated. As conversations blossomed, some threads of those connections began to inspire more subscriptions, turning this moment into a flourishing network. It felt as though I had finally found my rightful place.
This experience has taught me an invaluable lesson: it’s not just the work you create that matters, it’s also about the audience you aim to reach. Indeed, "Your vibe attracts your tribe," and I finally feel like I have discovered my tribe.
Initially, I questioned whether my writing was resonating or if I needed to improve my offerings. Now I recognize that the challenge sometimes lies not within ourselves, but rather with the audience we are trying to connect with. Even if your passion is strong, speaking to the wrong crowd will leave you feeling unfulfilled. As Jim Rohn aptly put it, "You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with." If your current circle isn’t lifting you, it may be time to reassess your surroundings.
Finding the right individuals those who truly understand and appreciate your work can make all the difference. When you connect with the right audience, everything clicks into place. It’s about aligning with those who genuinely see your worth and encourage your growth.
So, if you ever feel stuck or lost, remember that the issue may not be with you. Focus on identifying the right people who resonate with your efforts. They are out there, waiting for you. Reevaluate your audience, adjust your approach, and seek out the community that matches your energy. As Bruce Lee wisely said, “Absorb what is useful, discard what is not, add what is uniquely your own.” This may just be the catalyst you need to elevate your journey.
Thank you for being part of this adventure and for supporting BeKarnya and Co. Your belief in my mission means the world to me.
Looking forward to our next steps together!
Warm regards,
